2nd Class
Ms. Carolan's 2nd Class
I’m thrilled to welcome everyone back to 2nd Class in St. Brigid’s N.S! It was brilliant to hear about all the amazing adventures that the boys had during the Summer holidays. This year promises to be exciting, with subjects to explore and creative projects to embark on.
The month of September has been a very busy one for all the boys in Ms. Carolan’s 2nd class. We really enjoyed making use of the beautiful weather by doing some learning in our outside classroom in the grounds of our school and had a trip to St. Anne’s Park for some PE lessons. We also celebrated “Friendship Week” which was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the friendships that make our school community so special. The boys preformed a short drama and poem for the rest of the school. Well done!
Ms. O'Brien's 2nd Class
Welcome back to 2nd class! Everyone has settled well into school and we are delighted to be back with our friends again. It is a very special year for 2nd class as they will be making their First Confession and First Holy Communion later this school year.
We have been exploring nature and the signs of Autumn that we can see around us. The children have been collecting conkers, leaves, hazelnuts and lots of other amazing things from their own nature walks and we have displayed them on our Nature Table.
This week in school it was Friendship Week, we read the book “ Have you filled your bucket today” where we learned valuable lessons about giving, sharing, and caring. We created a friendship wall and we showed our art work and examples of how the boys filled their buckets and their friends' buckets during the week .
