Seachtain na Gaeilge
‘Seachtain na Gailge’ a bhí ann an tseachtain seo caite. Bhaineamar a lán taitneamh as na h-imeachtaí agus gníomhaíochtaí sa scoil chun an tseachtain a cheiliúradh! Bhí Raidió Naomh Bríd ar siúl gach lá agus bhí deis ag gach uile rang amhráin a chanadh. Bhí comórtas nua ‘Caint Phoiblí’ againn freisin agus bhíomar an-tógtha leis na buachaillí agus an iarracht mór a rinne said ar an lá. Tháinig grúpa cheoil ó Craobh Seán Treacy isteach and chaitheamar trathnóna álainn sa halla ag éisteacht leo. Comh maith le sin, bhí ‘Dúisigí agus Crithigí’, comórtas ealaínne agus súilóid dúlra againn. Ar an Aoine bhí an spraoi againn mar bhí Céilí Mór sa halla! Seachtain Iontach a bhí ann! Last week was ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’. We really enjoyed the many events and activities happening throughout the week at school to celebrate ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’. We had our very own radio station (Raidió Naomh Bríd) and every class had an opportunity to sing a song ‘as Gaeilge’. We also had a brand new ‘Public speaking’ competition and we were very impressed with the huge effort made by boys who participated on the day. We were fortunate to welcome back musicians from Craobh Seán Treacy. As well as this we had ‘Wake up, Shake up’, art competitions and nature walks all promoting the ‘cúpla focal’. We finished on Friday with a fantastic Céilí in the hall. It was a great week!

Many thanks to our PA for organising tea and cakes in the hall. Take a look at some of our Junior classes singing some songs they had practised for the special visitors!

Athletics Ireland Cross Country Running
On a beautiful Thursday in September the boys from 3rd, 4th and 6th classes headed off to St. Anne's Park to partake in a Cross Country running event against lots of schools in the locality. The boys had a blast. Each and every one of them gave it their all and represented our school with great pride. It was amazing to see the determination of so many boys to complete the difficult 1km track. We even managed to win some trophies and medals along the way! Huge congratulations to everyone who took part. A brilliant achievement and a brilliant day!

Friendship Week 2025
It was lovely to welcome all of the boys back to school after a lovely summer break! We always begin the year with 'Friendship Week' to focus on all the lovely ways we celebrate friendship in our school. It is also a good time to remind everyone what to do when they see unkind behaviour in our school, the playground or online. We
remember our school motto 'Say No!. Go!. Tell!' and this year we also learned about our new Bí Cineálta anti-bullying policy. The week ended with a display of lovely singing, poetry, role plays and other friendship themed activities during our assemblies. Well done to all the boys for embracing the ethos and themes of the week.
